Accidental Abstracts

The temptation of photography is to use the technology to the fullest. Every blade of grass in focus. Here is another opportunity to fight perfectionism. Try no focus. And move as well.

Here is only moving light. What was this originally? I have no idea.I took a second look and saved it.

This second one is my bedspread and a book.I am a visual artist. Trying to tell you my ideas in words is terribly hard. I hope this blog can help me to get clearer. It's funny how the words can flee my head like roaches when you turn on the light.

Third try. The first two were true accidentals. This one was planned and much harder than I expected. It took several tries. Can you identify the center image?

While taking a self portrait for the blog I came up with this. It made me laugh.

Magic Leaf 3

I think this is better. You can tell it is a leaf but it focus on the rain drop which is the unusual part.
I tried the crop. Is it better? You can see more details but can you tell it's a leaf?

I keep going back to this picture. On a dull rainy fall day there is still beauty to be found. Liquid silver, perfect brown leaf and my deteriorating driveway. I could have cropped it down to the left upper two thirds, but I like the complete leaf. What do you think?
